That's right - over half of the people working in healthcare technology have a background in clinical care.

But why are clinicians making the transition to healthcare technology? Well, for one, technology has the potential to revolutionize healthcare. It can help improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. And who better to develop and implement these technologies than those who have firsthand experience working in the healthcare industry?

So, what does the future hold for clinicians in healthcare technology startups? Well, it's safe to say that the demand for healthcare technology is only going to increase, which means that there will be plenty of opportunities for clinicians to make the transition. And with their firsthand experience and expertise, they're sure to make a significant impact on the industry.

Sarah Zweifach, MD, MBA: Product Lead at Story Health

At Story Health, Sarah is focused on building virtual specialty care programs and services. Sarah has built both physician and patient-facing tools and experiences at healthcare companies including McKessonZephyr Health, Bayesian Health, and AliveCor. She is also a former Rock Health fellow and is on the global advisory council of NODE Health, a consortium of 20+ hospital systems and ecosystem partners that serves as a home for digital medicine evidence. She holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Brown University, and an MD, MBA from New York University.

Zain Syed, PharmD: Product Manager for AmerisourceBergen

Zain is in charge of their clinical-facing analytics platforms. Before that, he was an oncology pharmacist for 10 years.
